Applicants with many more years of experience will be applying for the same open positions as the graduates simply because there are fewer open positions available. I did not have career mentors, did not know the importance of building a network and graduated into an economy with few employment openings. I am the second born in the United States and the first in my family to graduate from college. As a college professor, coach and leader I do not want to see other students and families go through a similar situation.
