It reflects a post-war history regarding strong institutional growth in Australian universities and intellectual development among scholars./p>p>The founders of APSA quickly recognized the disciplines growth in Australia and concluded that a professional association was essential for it. Following a seminar at ANU in 1951, scholars decided to form an Australian Political Studies Association. Notable political scientists Henry Mayer, Leicester Webb, MacMahon Ball, Finn Crisp, and political lawyer Geoff Sawer participated in the meeting./p>p>The first APSA inaugural conference was held in 1957 and convened annually after that. APSA also published the Australian Journal of Political science (AJPS) in 1990 which remained the associations principal publication./p>p>In 1965, there was an increasing number of New Zealand colleagues participating in APSAs activities. Due to this, APSA changed its name from the Australian Political Studies Association to the Australasian Political Studies Association. However, the association returned to its original name in 2007 as NZPSA served as the leading professional association for colleagues./p>p>APSA also established significant developments in the association, such as the APSA Womens Caucus in 1979, initiated by leading feminist scholars Marian Sawer and Carole Pateman. This subcommittees purpose is to raise womens profile in politics. Today, the Womens Caucus continues to conduct regular audits concerning the status of women in the profession./p>p>A look at the annual conferences held at APSA demonstrates the growth of the association. From 1957 until today, there has been a significant increase in the number of papers presented and different streams of specializations./p>p idevents> /p>h3>Recent Events/h3>p>The Agreement for Conference exchanges between the Pacific Islands Political Science Association (PIPSA) and the Australian Political Association (APSA) took place in April 2021./p>p>An international conference about the a hrefhttps://crossword-solver.io/clue/united-nations/>United Nations/a> and Korean War will take place from 22nd to 24th October 2021. This conference will explore the position and involvement of the United Nations in the Korean War./p>p>Our generous partners supported the organization of this conference. Of them, we mention a hrefhttps://crossword-solver.io/>Crossword Solver/a> for their special implication. They are an online tool for solving crossword puzzles. Beyond that, they understand to sustain education, to promote social responsibility, and last but not least to not people forget the role played by crosswords during the wars./p> /div> /section> !-- Contact Us section --> section idcontact classtm-section> header>h2 classtm-blue-text tm-section-title tm-margin-b-30>Contact Us/h2>/header> div classrow> div classcol-lg-6> form action#contact methodpost classcontact-form> div classform-group> input typetext idcontact_name namecontact_name classform-control placeholderName required/> /div> div classform-group> input typeemail idcontact_email namecontact_email classform-control placeholderEmail required/> /div> div classform-group> textarea idcontact_message namecontact_message classform-control rows9 placeholderMessage required>/textarea> /div> button typesubmit classfloat-right tm-button>Send/button> /form> /div> div classcol-lg-6 tm-contact-right> p> Reach Us: /p> address> 241 Lonsdale Stbr> Melbourne, VIC 3000br> Tel: (03) 9650 2345 /address> /div> /div> /section> footer> p classtm-copyright-p>Copyright © span classtm-current-year>2021/span> apsa2014.com /p> /footer> /div> /div> !-- Right column: content --> /div> /div> !-- row --> /div> !-- container --> !-- load JS files --> script srcjs/jquery-1.11.3.min.js>/script> !-- jQuery (https://jquery.com/download/) --> script srcjs/jquery.magnific-popup.min.js>/script> !-- Magnific pop-up (http://dimsemenov.com/plugins/magnific-popup/) --> script srcjs/jquery.singlePageNav.min.js>/script> !-- Single Page Nav (https://github.com/ChrisWojcik/single-page-nav) --> script> $(document).ready(function(){ // Single page nav $(.tm-main-nav).singlePageNav({ currentClass : active, offset : 20 }); // Magnific pop up $(.tm-gallery-1).magnificPopup({ delegate: a, // child items selector, by clicking on it popup will open type: image, gallery: {enabled:true} // other options }); $(.tm-gallery-2).magnificPopup({ delegate: a, // child items selector, by clicking on it popup will open type: image, gallery: {enabled:true} // other options }); $(.tm-gallery-3).magnificPopup({ delegate: a, // child items selector, by clicking on it popup will open type: image, gallery: {enabled:true} // other options }); $(.tm-current-year).text(new Date().getFullYear()); }); /script> /body>/html>
