Members Jim Wilson and Bonnie McNairn began Voice of Eye in 1989 in Houston, Texas with 3 early cassette releases: Voice of Eye, Hot Gypsy Fink / Resonant Fields, and Isolation. Voice of Eye self-released 3 CDs on Cyclotron Industries in the early to mid 90s titled Mariner Sonique, Vespers, and Transmigration. Now living in Taos, New Mexico, Voice of Eye has released 2 improvisational CDRs from 2007: Emergence and Immersion on Conundrum Unlimited, their new in-house record label. The multi-instrumental electro-acoustic duo uses electronic effects with traditional, indigenous, and new handmade instruments as the sound sources, including: flutes, voices, guitars, slide whistle, shanai, mijwizz, zurna / sona, trombone, bass, Nepalese bowls and bells, chimtas, percussion, drums, and many self-invented handmade instruments such as The Squawk Box, The Fucking Thing, The Bass Thing, and The Jeemna. This musical duo completed a European tour in 2007 with Troum of Drone Records, AsiaNova, and performed with Ure Thrall at the TescoFest in Antwerp. In October 2008 the band performed at the IAMINDUST festival in Oakland, California that also included Illusion of Safety, Aidan Baker, Nadja, Bloodbox, Thomas Dimuzio, Troum, AsiaNova, Nux Vomica, Ure Thrall and many others; and at the 12th NorCalNoiseFest in Sacramento where Big City Orchestra also performed. />meta namekeywords contentCD Baby, ITunes, Amazon, music downloads, Voice of Eye Official Website, deep ambient music, dark ambient music, shamanic music, organi
