They needed to calculate prepaid (credit card) tips to pay this to their delivery workers and have this separated from the cash orders. br>br>They also needed to update store info hours on the fly, and add special holidays and closings for customers to prevent late orders near closing times and lessen the amount of calls directly to the shops. Customers would call with questions about their order, so having recent order transactions and detailed receipts would double check latest orders when they are called about their order. br>br>Weve also noticed that we had a lot of shop owners have iPhones so another decision was to create a native iOS app experience of our web platform./p> /div> div classcol-lg-4> img alt classimg-responsive srcimg/portfolio/Slice_Dashboard1.jpg /> /div> div classcol-lg-4> img alt classimg-responsive srcimg/portfolio/Slice_OrderActivity2.jpg /> /div> /div> div classrow stylemargin-top: 6em> div classcol-lg-4> h3>IOS App version with key features/h3> br> p>1. Something like this would lead them to connect with their account reps to discuss how they can improve their sales if they saw that they could be doing better comparied to their region.br>br>Another idea was to provide other custom marketing materials and data points that could help them boost their sales.br>br>We still planned to add the ability for shops to add store hours and holidays as a fast follow, and you can view all this in the north star prototype below. /p> /div> div classcol-lg-8> img alt classimg-responsive srcimg/portfolio/SliceOwners_NorthStar3.gif /> /div> /div> div classrow stylemargin-top: 6em> div classcol-lg-2>/div> div classcol-lg-8> img alt classimg-responsive srcimg/portfolio/SliceLink_Insights.jpg /> /div> div classcol-lg-2>/div> /div> ul classlist-inline> li>Date: December 2018/li> li>Slice/li> li>Category: Mobile Web, Desktop, iOS App/li> /ul> button typebutton classbtn btn-primary data-dismissmodal>i classfa fa-times>/i> Close Project/button> /div> /div> /div> /div> /div> /div> !-- Portfolio Modal 2 --> div classportfolio-modal modal fade idportfolioModal2 roledialog tabindex-1 aria-hiddentrue> div classmodal-content> div classclose-modal data-dismissmodal> div classlr> div classrl> /div> /div> /div> div classcontainer> div classrow> div classcol-lg-12> div classmodal-body> !-- Project Details Go Here --> header> div classrow stylepadding: 4em> div classcol-lg-3>/div> div classcol-lg-6> h2>Subscribe & Split Payments/h2> p>This user flow was used to guide a third party development team to have an overview of our payment flow with what changes need to be made to integrate a subscription model and the ability for our users to split their payments./p> /div> div classcol-lg-3>/div> /div> /header> div classrow stylemargin-top: 3em> div classcol-lg-4> br> br> p alignleft>From our main product landing page, users will choose a plan that they are interested in, then led to create an account or log in./p> /div> div classcol-lg-8> img alt classimg-responsive srcimg/portfolio/subscription1.jpg /> /div> /div> div classrow> div classcol-lg-4> br> br> p alignleft>After this they are defaulted to pay all in for the plan or choose to split the cost into 3 easy payments./p> /div> div classcol-lg-8> img alt classimg-responsive srcimg/portfolio/subscription2.jpg /> /div> /div> div classrow> div classcol-lg-4> br> br> p alignleft>Users are given the subtle option to go through our abandon cart journey if they are not ready to purchase. One main problem was that after users tapped on the coupon to apply it, they were still unsure if the coupon was applied or not because there was no clear indication that it was applied.br>br> The coupon section was also hiding the menu experience if the shops had lots of coupons because they existed above the menu items and users would have to scroll down a lot to get to their items. The plus icon as a way to apply a coupon was not the right icon button to use because you were only able to apply one coupon at a time so a radio button would have set that expectation clearer. /div> div classcol-lg-8> img alt classimg-responsive srcimg/portfolio/coupon_ut1.jpg /> /div> /div> div classrow stylemargin-bottom: 6em> div classcol-lg-4> h3>Design Solutions/h3> br>br> p>We needed to bring up the menu. The coupons needed a new name to include bundles and also have a home. To solve this I added tabbed navigation, one for Menu and the other for Deals. For customers, coupons or bundles meant saving money, so housing them both into Deals made sense. br>br> In order to highlight the deals section a bit more, I added a number counter next to it. br>br> When a deal is added, there is now a clear check animation with the confirmation that the coupon has been added, and if theres coupon requirements to be met they would now be directed to do so with a clear call to action below. The sticky bottom cart also shows indicates how much more needs to be added to cart fulfill delivery minimums. /div> div classcol-lg-8> img alt classimg-responsive srcimg/portfolio/couponDeals.jpg /> /div> /div> div classrow stylemargin-bottom: 6em> div classcol-lg-3>/div> div classcol-lg-6> h3>Coupon Data/h3> br>br> p> There were also some design challenges with the coupon type we were working with in our database. br>br> 1. Lengthy coupon names and descriptions: We decided to populate the name text aligned centered in the box. If they got long, they would end in an ellipses. br>br> img alt classimg-responsive srcimg/portfolio/coupon_data1.jpg />br>br> 2. Coupon names being very vague (i.e.Family Meal Deal): There was nothing we were able to do at the time but to train the sales team moving foward to work with the owners on providing descriptive coupon names. We also were exploring imagery as a solution post mvp to help users quickly identify deals. br>br> img alt classimg-responsive srcimg/portfolio/coupon_data2.jpg />br>br> 3. Some coupons had descriptions and some didnt, but the ones that had descriptions sometimes provided more information to what the offer. So we decided to include them in the product detail view below the name of the coupon. /p> /div> div classcol-lg-3>/div> /div> div classrow stylemargin-bottom: 6em> div classcol-lg-12> img alt classimg-responsive srcimg/portfolio/couponsbundles1_desktop.jpg /> /div> div classcol-lg-12> img alt classimg-responsive srcimg/portfolio/couponsbundles2_desktop.jpg /> /div> div classcol-lg-12> img alt classimg-responsive srcimg/portfolio/couponsbundles3_desktop.jpg /> /div> /div> div classrow stylemargin-bottom: 6em> div classcol-lg-12 col-md-6> img alt classimg-responsive srcimg/portfolio/couponSpecs.jpg /> /div> /div> div classrow stylemargin-bottom: 6em> div classcol-lg-12 col-md-6> img alt classimg-responsive img-centered srcimg/portfolio/coupons_prototype.gif /> /div> /div> ul classlist-inline> li>Date: November 2017/li> li>Client: Slice/li> li>Category: Product Design, User Research, Prototype Testing/li> /ul> button typebutton classbtn btn-primary data-dismissmodal>i classfa fa-times>/i> Close Project/button> /div> /div> /div> /div> /div> /div> !-- Portfolio Modal 6 --> div classportfolio-modal modal fade idportfolioModal6 roledialog tabindex-1 aria-hiddentrue> div classmodal-content> div classclose-modal data-dismissmodal> div classlr> div classrl> /div> /div> /div> div classcontainer> div classrow> div classcol-lg-12> div classmodal-body> !-- Project Details Go Here --> header> div classrow stylepadding: 4em> div classcol-lg-3>/div> div classcol-lg-6> h2>Campaign for RLS/h2> p>After learning that patients with RLS (Restless Leg Syndrome) dread the coming hours of bedtime, we created an online ad campaign calling attention around this idea.
