It devastated me and sent me into a deep depression. If it wasnt for her son Lenox and having him to take care of I probably would have stayed in my room for months./p> p>As I watched her son everyday I would show him pictures of her because I want him to know who his amazing mother is. Every time I would show him her picture either on my phone or iPad his face would lite up and he would grab for her. I knew I needed to get something he could hold onto that wouldnt get ruined. I pondered this for several weeks, then one day as I was picking up pictures I saw an ad for blankets with pictures printed on them. PERFECT Then the idea of helping other children who have lost a parent struck me and I knew it would get me up and give me something to focus on. Our daughters name is Robynn Lynn Clayton DeNamur thats how the R.L.C.D. Foundation was born./p> p>Our goal is to try and relieve a little of the heartache in children from birth to 16 who have lost a parent by providing them with a blanket with that parents picture on it to snuggle with and comfort them. Our daughter died in a car accident leaving behind a young son and I wanted to do something for him that would help him remember his mom and it hit me that I could get a blanket with her picture on it so he could cuddle with her at night. I mentioned it to a few people and they all said they loved the idea. I then thought I could do this for other children so I made some phone calls and found great support for this./p> p>My plan is to do Facebook fund raising, yard sales and bake sales.
