Back in the early 2000s, I put up a website under this domain name to record my musings on my own software development or issues that I saw in the industry. The machine on which I was hosting the website eventually failed. I decided not to replace it. Recently, I was unexpectedly unemployed when my employer decide to move all software development to India. I hadnt had to apply for a job in over 20 years. In the process of looking for a job, I learned that many employers requested the URL of my personal website. So I decided to recreate this website. I am starting fresh. I wont be reloading any of the old articles that I wrote for the first iteration. /p> p>I am a software developer who has been actively writing code since 1978. I first learned to write code using Fortran 77. Within two years, I had written programs in Fortran, Basic, Cobol, Snobol, Algol, Macro-11 and BAL. I also learned multiple scripting languages for the Univac and IBM mainframes on which I worked. While I continued to learn new languages, the rate slowed dramatically. For the last thirty years, I have mostly writen in C, C++, C#, Java and Kotlin. /p> p>For more information on the computer languages in which I have coded or the types of applications that I developed, please click on the CV hyperlink in the sidebar. /p> p>If you wish to contact me, please send me an email at pepperb@mindspring.com/p> /div>/body>/html>
