I practice Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) which is rooted in attachment theory. I primarily work with couples and individuals who want to improve communication but run into the same blocks to intimacy, over and over. Often clients state they are discouraged or have fallen into a relational rut with very little intimacy/aliveness. Other times, people are considering big changes (marriage, a move, inviting a child) and want to learn a new way to express fears and longings to prepare for, or manifest, the next phase of their lives. Often relationships have lost that initial zing that led to attraction and the current loneliness is almost intolerable.Relationships can be alive with intimacy and curiosity. Together we will identify patterns of negative interaction and empower you to interrupt the downward spiral.
