It is cause for our failure to promote women into leadership roles and to pay women equally. It is cause for differential treatment specifically in schools, healthcare, and the criminal justice system for African Americans. Despite the science that confirms that bias exists and the data showing real harm from implicit bias, we historically seem incapable or unwilling to deal with it. Legitimate protests and media attention now drive us all to find an answer, but the question remains, “where do we go from here?”/p> /div> div classcontent-block> h2 classh2-headings>where do we go from here?/h2> p classparagraph>strong classbold-text-3>Implicit Bias Campus/strong> answers the question and acknowledges the remaining challenges facing women and persons of color to achieve equality. It is a professional resource to address those challenges through a more efficient, collaborative and science-based approach. The word em>Campus /em>in our name is deliberate homage to the academic rigor we apply to what we do. Implicit Bias Campus is a collaborative repository of new ideas and learned approaches to reducing harmful effects of implicit bias. As a service provider, we provide training to raise awareness and consulting on the most effective and scientifically supported methods to address risks of bias across key social systems including, policing, criminal justice, education and medical care. /p> /div> div classcontent-block last> h2 classh2-headings>Our Mission/h2> p classparagraph>We have a duty to be aware and take steps to manage our biases, just as we take care to cover our mouths when we cough or stay home when we are sick. Accepting that responsibility will help us bridge the gap toward full equality for women and persons of color. It is possible to trade the divisive labels of racist or sexist for a common em>duty of responsibility/em>. To move forward without shame or blame, to embrace an appreciation for the risks of implicit bias, and to then take proactive steps to reduce those risks for the benefit of everyone. We believe in potential for positive change through training and awareness. /p> /div> /div> div classdiv-block-8> h2 classh2-headings contact-heading>for inquiries or consultations/h2> div classcontact-wrap> div classcontact>Contact: /div> a hrefmailto:Thomas.Newkirk@implicitbias.com classcontact-link>Thomas.Newkirk@implicitbias.com/a> /div> /div> /div> script srchttps://d3e54v103j8qbb.cloudfront.net/js/jquery-3.5.1.min.dc5e7f18c8.js?site5ffc715df51df0201e36ec6e typetext/javascript integritysha256-9/aliU8dGd2tb6OSsuzixeV4y/faTqgFtohetphbbj0 crossoriginanonymous>/script> script srcjs/webflow.js typetext/javascript>/script> !-- if lte IE 9>script srchttps://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/placeholders/3.0.2/placeholders.min.js>/script>!endif -->/body>/html>
