Entrants were to submit a 3-5 minute video to showcase their “innovation” for the board that will select the finalists. Voting will be done in the true spirit of popular TV shows like “X Factor”, “American Idol” etc., where the attendees at the conference will be doing the actual voting./p>p>I got this list of entries for the innovation award, so check them out:/p>p> a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/2011/10/contributions-for-the-directions-innovation-award/#more-940 classmore-link>Continue reading »/a>/p>!-- AddThis Advanced Settings above via filter on the_content -->!-- AddThis Advanced Settings below via filter on the_content -->!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content -->!-- AddThis Share Buttons above via filter on the_content -->!-- AddThis Share Buttons below via filter on the_content -->div classat-below-post-homepage addthis_tool data-urlhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/2011/10/contributions-for-the-directions-innovation-award/>/div>!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --> /div>!--entry --> /div>!--post --> div classtags>Tagged with: a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/tag/2011/ reltag>2011/a> • a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/tag/award/ reltag>award/a> • a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/tag/directions/ reltag>directions/a> • a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/tag/innovation/ reltag>innovation/a> • a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/tag/nav/ reltag>nav/a> • a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/tag/orlando/ reltag>orlando/a>br />/div> div classpost-893 post type-post status-publish format-standard hentry category-net category-navision category-rtc-2 category-tipstricks tag-net tag-programming tag-report tag-rtc idpost-893> div classdate>span>May/span> 09/div> div classtitle> h2 classposttitle>a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/2011/05/dynamics-nav-rtc-reports-blob-fields-printing-notifications/ relbookmark titlePermanent Link to Dynamics NAV RTC Reports, BLOB fields, printing Notifications>Dynamics NAV RTC Reports, BLOB fields, printing Notifications/a>/h2> div classpostdata> span classauthor>By SNielsen/span> span classcategory>a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/category/net/ relcategory tag>.NET/a>, a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/category/navision/ relcategory tag>Dynamics NAV/a>, a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/category/rtc-2/ relcategory tag>RTC/a>, a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/category/tipstricks/ relcategory tag>Tips&Tricks/a>/span> span classcomments>a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/2011/05/dynamics-nav-rtc-reports-blob-fields-printing-notifications/#comments>3 Comments »/a>/span> /div> /div> div classentry> div classat-above-post-homepage addthis_tool data-urlhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/2011/05/dynamics-nav-rtc-reports-blob-fields-printing-notifications/>/div>p>img classalignright size-full wp-image-899 titlepostitnote srchttp://gotcal.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/postitnote.jpg alt width224 height177/>In Dynamics NAV 2009 RTC you have the new functionality with Notifications. It allows you to create notifications and send them to other users, so it shows up in their “My Notification” on the Role Center. The notifications are actually stored in the “Record Link” table as a BLOB field./p>p>This is a great functionality, but as it is now, you can only see the notes from the My Notifications and the notification fact boxes. In this blog post i will take a look at how you can print these notes in a RTC/RDLC report./p>p>Lets take closer look at what is stored:/p>p> a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/2011/05/dynamics-nav-rtc-reports-blob-fields-printing-notifications/#more-893 classmore-link>Continue reading »/a>/p>!-- AddThis Advanced Settings above via filter on the_content -->!-- AddThis Advanced Settings below via filter on the_content -->!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content -->!-- AddThis Share Buttons above via filter on the_content -->!-- AddThis Share Buttons below via filter on the_content -->div classat-below-post-homepage addthis_tool data-urlhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/2011/05/dynamics-nav-rtc-reports-blob-fields-printing-notifications/>/div>!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --> /div>!--entry --> /div>!--post --> div classtags>Tagged with: a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/tag/net/ reltag>.NET/a> • a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/tag/programming/ reltag>programming/a> • a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/tag/report/ reltag>report/a> • a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/tag/rtc/ reltag>rtc/a>br />/div> div classpost-916 post type-post status-publish format-standard hentry category-net category-navision category-rtc-2 category-tipstricks tag-net tag-navision tag-how-to tag-programming tag-rtc tag-tools idpost-916> div classdate>span>May/span> 09/div> div classtitle> h2 classposttitle>a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/2011/05/cookie-cutters-for-visual-studio-dynamics-nav-2009-rtc-add-ins/ relbookmark titlePermanent Link to Cookie cutters for Visual Studio Dynamics NAV 2009 RTC add-ins>Cookie cutters for Visual Studio Dynamics NAV 2009 RTC add-ins/a>/h2> div classpostdata> span classauthor>By SNielsen/span> span classcategory>a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/category/net/ relcategory tag>.NET/a>, a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/category/navision/ relcategory tag>Dynamics NAV/a>, a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/category/rtc-2/ relcategory tag>RTC/a>, a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/category/tipstricks/ relcategory tag>Tips&Tricks/a>/span> span classcomments>a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/2011/05/cookie-cutters-for-visual-studio-dynamics-nav-2009-rtc-add-ins/#comments>1 Comment »/a>/span> /div> /div> div classentry> div classat-above-post-homepage addthis_tool data-urlhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/2011/05/cookie-cutters-for-visual-studio-dynamics-nav-2009-rtc-add-ins/>/div>p>img classalignright size-full wp-image-917 titlecookiecutter srchttp://gotcal.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/cookiecutter.jpg alt width259 height194/>You know the hoops you have to jump before you got Visual Studio setup for creating a RTC add-in. Excel’s default number format is “General”. Unfortunately this has some drawbacks, especially when you paste in data from another application./p>p>Lets do this example, enter in a new cell with Number Format General, the value “001010”, and you will see Excel stores this as 1010, since it determined your value to be a Number. Of course we wanted it to be the equivalent of a NAV Code field, and expected Excel to keep it like “001010”. In order to do this you can for the field tell it is text by adding a ‘ in front. So far so good…./p>p>But when doing a copy/paste you dont have that option, so what to do?/p>p> a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/2010/12/copypaste-from-dynamics-nav-to-excel-headache/#more-858 classmore-link>Continue reading »/a>/p>!-- AddThis Advanced Settings above via filter on the_content -->!-- AddThis Advanced Settings below via filter on the_content -->!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content -->!-- AddThis Share Buttons above via filter on the_content -->!-- AddThis Share Buttons below via filter on the_content -->div classat-below-post-homepage addthis_tool data-urlhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/2010/12/copypaste-from-dynamics-nav-to-excel-headache/>/div>!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --> /div>!--entry --> /div>!--post --> div classtags>Tagged with: a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/tag/application/ reltag>application/a> • a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/tag/navision/ reltag>Dynamics NAV/a> • a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/tag/excel/ reltag>excel/a> • a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/tag/external/ reltag>external/a> • a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/tag/how-to/ reltag>how-to/a>br />/div> div classpost-851 post type-post status-publish format-standard hentry category-navision category-rtc-2 tag-external tag-how-to tag-r2 tag-video idpost-851> div classdate>span>Dec/span> 03/div> div classtitle> h2 classposttitle>a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/2010/12/hot-topic-videos-released-for-upcoming-dynamics-nav-r2/ relbookmark titlePermanent Link to Hot Topic Videos released for upcoming Dynamics NAV R2>Hot Topic Videos released for upcoming Dynamics NAV R2/a>/h2> div classpostdata> span classauthor>By SNielsen/span> span classcategory>a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/category/navision/ relcategory tag>Dynamics NAV/a>, a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/category/rtc-2/ relcategory tag>RTC/a>/span> span classcomments>a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/2010/12/hot-topic-videos-released-for-upcoming-dynamics-nav-r2/#comments>1 Comment »/a>/span> /div> /div> div classentry> div classat-above-post-homepage addthis_tool data-urlhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/2010/12/hot-topic-videos-released-for-upcoming-dynamics-nav-r2/>/div>p>img classalignright size-full wp-image-853 titler2car srchttp://gotcal.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/r2car.jpg alt width276 height183/>While most children are watching the days to christmas, most NAV people are looking forward to December 15th, when the R2 release of Dynamics NAV 2009 is going to be released./p>p>A quick blog scan will give you loads of information about the new features, the hype and what not. You can find more information about it on this a hrefhttp://mibuso.com/blogs/lyot/2010/07/12/ean-813-code-39128-barcode-creator/>MIBUSO blog/a>./p>p>Barcode as defined on Wikipedia: “A strong>barcode/strong> is an strong>optical a titleMachine-readable hrefhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Machine-readable>machine-readable/a>/strong> representation of data, which shows certain data on certain products. Originally, barcodes represented data in the widths (lines) and the spacings of parallel lines, and may be referred to as linear or 1D (1 dimensional) barcodes or symbologies. They also come in patterns of squares, dots, hexagons and other geometric patterns within images termed 2D (2 dimensional) matrix codes or symbologies. Although 2D systems use symbols other than bars, they are generally referred to as barcodes as well. Barcodes can be read by a titleOptical scanner hrefhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Optical_scanner>optical scanners/a> called a titleBarcode reader hrefhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barcode_reader>barcode readers/a>, or scanned from an image by special software.”/p>p>Lets go over a quick guide on how to use it./p>p> a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/2010/11/what-is-in-your-dynamics-nav-toolbelt-barcode-creator-by-stijn-bossuyt/#more-811 classmore-link>Continue reading »/a>/p>!-- AddThis Advanced Settings above via filter on the_content -->!-- AddThis Advanced Settings below via filter on the_content -->!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content -->!-- AddThis Share Buttons above via filter on the_content -->!-- AddThis Share Buttons below via filter on the_content -->div classat-below-post-homepage addthis_tool data-urlhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/2010/11/what-is-in-your-dynamics-nav-toolbelt-barcode-creator-by-stijn-bossuyt/>/div>!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --> /div>!--entry --> /div>!--post --> div classtags>Tagged with: a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/tag/barcode/ reltag>barcode/a> • a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/tag/navision/ reltag>Dynamics NAV/a> • a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/tag/how-to/ reltag>how-to/a> • a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/tag/objects/ reltag>objects/a> • a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/tag/toolbelt/ reltag>toolbelt/a>br />/div> div classpost-796 post type-post status-publish format-standard hentry category-navision category-rtc-2 tag-application tag-cronus tag-navision tag-guide tag-how-to tag-object tag-programming tag-stylesheet idpost-796> div classdate>span>Nov/span> 17/div> div classtitle> h2 classposttitle>a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/2010/11/replacing-cronus-logo-with-companyinformation-picture-in-stylesheets/ relbookmark titlePermanent Link to Replacing CRONUS logo with CompanyInformation Picture in Stylesheets>Replacing CRONUS logo with CompanyInformation Picture in Stylesheets/a>/h2> div classpostdata> span classauthor>By SNielsen/span> span classcategory>a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/category/navision/ relcategory tag>Dynamics NAV/a>, a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/category/rtc-2/ relcategory tag>RTC/a>/span> span classcomments>a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/2010/11/replacing-cronus-logo-with-companyinformation-picture-in-stylesheets/#comments>8 Comments »/a>/span> /div> /div> div classentry> div classat-above-post-homepage addthis_tool data-urlhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/2010/11/replacing-cronus-logo-with-companyinformation-picture-in-stylesheets/>/div>p>img classalignright size-full wp-image-797 titlecronuslogo src/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/cronuslogo.png alt width200 height100/>This post is a follow up to some of my previous posts about the Send to Word/Excel features of Dynamics NAV. As you know, it uses a stylesheet (xslt file), that is being read into memory and the codeunit 403 inserts values into the document./p>p>This is definitely one of the cool demo features, when presenting NAV. At this point you dont realize that the Cronus logo is hardcoded into the stylesheets, but think it is just using the logo in the Company Information setup./p>p>My previous post gave you some steps on how to change this. But this can be pretty cumbersome to say it at least. So when having to do it for the I dont know what time again, i decided to create a function that could automatically insert the picture from the Company Information./p>p> a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/2010/11/replacing-cronus-logo-with-companyinformation-picture-in-stylesheets/#more-796 classmore-link>Continue reading »/a>/p>!-- AddThis Advanced Settings above via filter on the_content -->!-- AddThis Advanced Settings below via filter on the_content -->!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content -->!-- AddThis Share Buttons above via filter on the_content -->!-- AddThis Share Buttons below via filter on the_content -->div classat-below-post-homepage addthis_tool data-urlhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/2010/11/replacing-cronus-logo-with-companyinformation-picture-in-stylesheets/>/div>!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --> /div>!--entry --> /div>!--post --> div classtags>Tagged with: a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/tag/application/ reltag>application/a> • a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/tag/cronus/ reltag>cronus/a> • a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/tag/navision/ reltag>Dynamics NAV/a> • a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/tag/guide/ reltag>guide/a> • a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/tag/how-to/ reltag>how-to/a> • a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/tag/object/ reltag>object/a> • a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/tag/programming/ reltag>programming/a> • a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/tag/stylesheet/ reltag>stylesheet/a>br />/div> div classpage-nav fix> span classprevious-entries>a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/page/2/ >Previous Entries/a>/span> span classnext-entries>/span>/div>!-- page nav --> /div> div classbottomnav style> ul classpiped> li classpage_item >a classfirst hrefhttp://gotcal.com/ titleHome>Home/a>/li> li classpage_item page-item-2>a hrefhttp://gotcal.com/index.php/about/>About/a>/li> /ul> div styleclear:both>/div> /div> /div> !-- end leftcol --> div classdbx-group idsidebar> div idcred> a classplimage hrefhttp://www.pagelines.com>Free WordPress Themes/a> /div> !--sidebox start -->div idtext-4 classdbx-box widget_text>h3 classdbx-handle>LinkedIn Profile /h3>div classdbx-content> div classtextwidget>center>a hrefhttp://www.linkedin.com/in/snielsen72>img srchttps://static.licdn.com/scds/common/u/img/webpromo/btn_myprofile_160x33.png width160 height33 border0 altView Søren Nielsens profile on LinkedIn>/a>/center>/div> /div>/div>!--sidebox end -->!--sidebox start -->div idtext-5 classdbx-box widget_text>h3 classdbx-handle>RSS and Email Subscriptions /h3>div classdbx-content> div classtextwidget>p>a hrefhttp://feeds.feedburner.com/gotcal titleSubscribe to my feed relalternate typeapplication/rss+xml>img src//feedburner.google.com/fb/images/pub/feed-icon32x32.png alt styleborder:0/>/a>a hrefhttp://feeds.feedburner.com/gotcal titleSubscribe to my feed relalternate typeapplication/rss+xml> Subscribe in a reader/a>/p>p>a hrefhttps://feedburner.google.com/fb/a/mailverify?urigotcal&locen_US>Subscribe to Got C/AL?
