He went on to college and holds undergraduate degrees in Art and Speech Pathology as well as Graduate degrees in Speech Pathology, Audiology and School Administration./p>p>Douglas and his wife, Cheryl, joined the a hrefhttp://www.gikennelclub.com/>Grand Island Kennel Club/a> in 1972. Soon Douglas was teaching conformation class and has continued to do so for the past thirty years. Since 1974 he has participated in the prestigious Doberman Pinscher Club of America Judges Education Committee, holding several positions, including Chairman. In the mid 80s, a partnership was formed between Cedar Knoll Dobermans and Kyjur Kennel which has proved extremely productive. Given his past successes, Douglas felt he could help develop the Doberman Pinscher breed and decided the best approach was from inside the ring./p>p>Over the years Douglas has bred several litters and shown many dogs to their championships. Each doberman is special. Many dogs have been judged by his experienced eyes, gentle hands and his heart.
