Originally from BC, he spent years in the Toronto art scene, and on BCs Sunshine Coast, and now lives in Hamilton, Ontario. He has just finished a PhD in English at the University of Guelph, writing his dissertation strong>em>Outside the Empire: Improvised Music in Toronto 1960-1985/em>/strong>.
