偶々中国に滞在中に、「漢字の秘密」という題名の中国語の本が見つかった。そこには、この違いについて、元々太古の昔には、牛と豚では、飼い慣らし方が違っていた。それが字の形に反映されているとの説明があり、納得したものだ。著者は、「牢」という字の成り立ちを以下のように説明している。div>blockquote> 最近読んだ本の中で、私が最も衝撃を受けた本である。戦後日本人は、一貫してアメリカの呪縛のなかに置かれてきた。著者は日本の支配機構の中枢にいたからこそ、その全貌を知り、その危うさを知っている。歴代首相は一貫してアメリカの支配の中で、マリオットのような役割を担わされてきた。今中国との関係が非常に厳しいものとなっているが、今こそ逆にアメリカとの関係を見つめ直し、日本の将来を構築し直すべき時代に来ている。この本は、いかなる立場の人が読んでも参考になるものだと思う。この本の素晴らしさは、戦後史の全貌をアメリカとの関係において、その豊富な資料をもとに冷徹に語っていることである。単に資料としてだけでも一読に値する。br/>br
