The pressure by environmental issues, we are responsible to make everyone aware the importance of strong>DEF/strong> and its usage. EU legislation been introduced in 2006 that new commercial vehicles exceeding 3.5 tons must run with strong>SCR/strong> (Selective Catalytic Reduction) system. Most of the heavy vehicles are imported into GCC countries are from European countries. These vehicles are manufactured under the strict Euro Norms in their emissions, which means these vehicles will have the strong>SCR/strong> (Selective Catalytic Reduction) system. This System substantially reduces harmful Nitrogen Oxide strong>(NOx)/strong> emissions from the exhaust of Diesel Engines by converting it into harmless nitrogen and water through the use of a special catalytic converter and a non-explosive, non-toxic, non flammable, water based urea solution which is called strong>BlueChem®/ DEF/AUS 32/AUS 40/strong>. This means the new trucks and buses comply with Euro 4 & 5 norms will be fitted with a strong>DEF/BlueChem®/strong> tank as well as a fuel tank. /p>p> /p>p>No major OEM who are already introduced the SCR system in their vehicle will not manufacture their heavy vehicles inferior to Euro4 standard after 2016.
