There is a proposed settlement in a class action lawsuit against West Publishing Corporation and Kaplan, Inc. (Stetson, et al. v. West Publishing Corporation, et al., Central District of California Case No. CV-08-00810 R). This settlement supersedes the prior proposed settlement of which you may have received a notice in April 2011. The lawsuit alleges that BAR/BRI and Kaplan violated federal antitrust laws by agreeing to limit competition in the market for full-service bar review courses. West was the owner of BAR/BRI during the relevant period./p>p>strong>What does the settlement provide?/strong> Defendants have agreed to pay the total sum of $9,500,000 (the Settlement Fund).
